Satellocopa

This is a technically sophisticated drone which can optimize decision-making skills in team sports, especially football.

The players who wear counter-colour (red or blue) contact lenses against the lamp cannot clearly perceive the light. In contrast, players who don’t wear contact lenses can see it. This enables them to orient themselves according to the tactical instructions that are projected onto the field by the light. Coach gives commands on his smart device where the drones should emit light.

Using the imitation of a xylocopa (carpenter bee), the device can implement a quick change of direction and stable hovering. Its behaviour can also be compared to an artificial satellite for players. The form, represents not only a carpenter bee, but it also works properly for the compound eye system. It also gives a sense of the motif as an insect. The hexagonal structure supports the stability and lightness of the element. The wing component and the housing each have a round connector so that users can set them up intuitively.
