Neotékton

Neotékton is a conceptual design for housing situations of the future in metropolises with a focus on the private space and the mesocosm of the neighbourhood: how can design generate new social structures in the context of a metropolis?

Metropolises are getting bigger and bigger, population density is growing and the need for sustainable living situations is becoming more present. A city of the future must ensure interaction between buildings, with people, the environment and natural contexts.

Neotékton represents a conceptual proposal for future urban development in which urban architecture should function heteroreferentially rather than auto-referentially. The design is thus the result of a multitude of factors, such as sustainable energy generation, infrastructure, aspects of flora and fauna, social interaction, individual life situations of the inhabitants and self-sufficiency.

The vertical displacement of the architecture is intended to promote the development of flora and fauna at a basic level. As a result of this step, a multi-layered infrastructure is possible, which extends the connection possibilities through platforms for public transport, walkways, squares and green spaces within the city.
